Nailympics - Olympia Beauty

Who said the Olympics just for a sportsman? For the last six years, the world’s top manicutists have been coming to Britain to show their skill in the art of fake nail making.  Most people think of  fake nails as the basic acrylic pieces glued as extensions to natural nails, but the competitors in the annual Nailympics create regular masterpieces, using  methods like airbrushing and the embedding of jewels and other trinkets. Really interesting, right?

The Great (Fashion) Blogger

Meet Tavi Gevinson (14 years old), she's a famous street fashion blogger! She began her blog, Style Rookie on March 31, 2008 at age 11. Initially, her parents didn't completely know what Tavi was doing until she asked for their permission to appear in an issue of New York Times magazine story. Since then, more than 54.000 peoples visited her blog every day!

Gevinson describes herself as a "tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats". Her blog is an enthusiastic chronicle of her thoughts on fashion, ranging from reviews of runway shows to reflections provoked by her Bat Mitzvah. She is tiny for her age, four feet ten, and looks shockingly prepubescent.

In August 2009, she appeared on the cover of Pop Magazine, which feature photographs by Jamie Morgan and was designed by artist Damien Hirst. Since then, Tavi has been featured in the View section of the December/January 2010 issue of Teen Vogue magazine and February 2010 issue of the French Vogue. Bloggers like Tavi have been referred to as the "frontline of fashion". She has also become a regular guest at fashion shows and a muse for designers in Tokyo. She's also partly inspiration for Rodarte's line at Target.

 She is awesome, isn't she?
